What a strange 15 weeks we've had here at Chez Huxley! We've been incredibly lucky, despite the numerous (and oftentimes mercifully humorous) knocks and wobbles. It's certainly nice to have an 'end of term' - an official break from all the ways we've been trying to work, parent, school and switch off and relax without guilt (nope - teachers have not been "ON A BREAK"!). There's a definite skill to working from home or in barely staffed offices (among the many situations experienced across the world) - and it can be very difficult to manage, even without children around full time asking 150 questions a day.
WELL DONE EVERYONE - I SALUTE YOU!
The Little Academy welcomes Summer School pupils who are going into their NAT5 and Higher English sessions this August, university students seeking editing services for their dissertations, and from September I shall be returning to Heriot-Watt/Borders College - which is very exciting; and ALL online via MS Teams - embracing the New Era, I think/hope!
GOOD LUCK - SOLIDARITY, ENJOY YOUR SUMMERTIME :)
